We are continuing to work on developing the Hospitality Team ministry. The mission of the Team is “to offer a heartfelt welcome to all who come to Christ the Servant.”
We have accepted the challenge to preserve Christ the Servant’s reputation and atmosphere of warm hospitality to all. Our goal in developing this team is to provide everyone the opportunity to be a part of opening our church to all who come to our doors and to make hospitality a church-wide endeavor. A handbook that describes the tasks for the team is available for use.
Although some members have told us their preference of times to be on the team, each family will be contacted and invited to participate as a greeter, usher, welcome desk, or coffee server.
While our Team Leaders enjoy talking to you when making the calls, they would also appreciate you stopping by the welcome desk and signing up! We do respect any decisions not to participate.
Flowers are a wonderful way to communicate one's love of God, whether through the gardens in the front of the church or on the altar in the Sanctuary on Sunday mornings. Thanks to those wonderful and dedicated gardeners who made the outside of our church so beautiful this summer. What a joy it was to walk into church smelling such fragrant smells and have our eyes filled with such richness of color. As the Fall now turns into the coming of Winter we will warmly remember with fondness the worshipful beauty displayed in the flowers.
It may be cold on the outside, but in the Sanctuary the spirit of God moves with warmth and energy! There too we continue the worship experience created outside through the color of Sunday morning flowers given in honor, or memory, or celebration. Creating a pleasing praise to God with flowers, banners, plants or music is another way we celebrate our love of God.
If you are interested in donating Sunday morning flowers for Worship or a festive Sunday here's what you do: fill out the appropriate form in the Worship and Music book in the narthex on Sunday mornings or:
Simple! And such a wonderful gift. We hope that you will look at your calendars and then take advantage of this opportunity to praise God.
